The 24-month outcomes of the first multicenter clinical investigation of DISC care (Hernia Blocking System) have been published in Brain and Spine, the official scientific journal of EUROSPINE and EANS.

Primary endpoint met at 2 years: 0% symptomatic recurrent lumbar disc herniation (rLDH).

Preserving more disc tissue can increase recurrence risk (reported up to 25%), particularly in large annular defects where the nucleus is prone to reherniate through the remaining defect.

Closing the annular defect is key when preservation matters.
