NEOS Surgery participates in the future biomedical engineers conferences at the University of Barcelona


NEOS Surgery participated in the Biomedical Engineering Degree Student Conferences at the University of Barcelona (UB), on 23 February, which is promoted by the students themselves to discuss the professional opportunities and career paths offered by the most innovative start-ups, industry and hospitals of the health sector.

The event was inaugurated by Dr Ramon Farré, Head of Degree Studies, and it filled the Paranimf auditorium of UB’s historic building with future biomedical engineers.

In addition to the talk given by Lluís Chico, managing partner of NEOS Surgery, the conferences included the participation of Alba García, Software Developer at Methinks AI; Dr Xavier Escayola, Head of the Bioengineering Department at the SJD Children’s Hospital of Barcelona, and Dr Faust Feu, Director of Clinical Quality and Safety of the Hospital Clinic Barcelona.

NEOS Surgery researches, develops and markets implantable surgical devices for unmet clinical needs related to brain, spinal and cardiothoracic surgeries. The company has a team of 20 professionals, most of them engineers with a strong focus in R&D, and it believes it is essential to support these types of conference because they help strengthen relationships with the new generations of talent. Specifically, biomedical engineering is one of the most strategic branches of engineering due to its impact on modern medicine.
