On 13 January, the Minister of Enterprise of the Government of Catalonia, Ramon Tremosa, visited the installations of the Eurecat technological centre in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) which is home to more than 650 professionals and provides service to approximately 1,600 companies.
During the meeting, minister Tremosa was able to learn about different technologies in the field of robotics and health such as the implantable surgical devices for cranial surgery (Cranial LOOP™ and Cranial COVER™), spinal surgery (DISC care™) and cardiothoracic surgery (STERN FIX™) that NEOS Surgery develops. The managing partner of the company, Lluís Chico, was in charge of presenting the products.
The visit also featured Joan Romero, CEO of the public agency ACCIÓ and Xavier López, general director of Eurecat, among other renowned institutional and business leaders.
NEOS Surgery was founded in 2003 by neurosurgeons while Eurecat was founded in partnership with Tecnalia and private investors.
